Established in 1833, the SMSA has a long history of providing a central meeting place for Sydney-siders interested in reading, attending lectures, keeping up with the news or just catching up with friends.

Annual membership rates
$15 - Full membership
$10 - Concession membership
$10 - Readers' Ticket (only available for students - no voting rights)
Memberships lapse on December 31 each year. Members will be advised when memberships may be renewed for the following year.
How to join
Online
You can become a Member of the SMSA by completing the online Membership Application. Payments are transacted through PayPal.
In person
Just come into the Library at Level 2, 280 Pitt Street with identification showing your current address. This could be a driver's licence, letter from a bank, utility bill or electoral registration.
