Notice of Annual General Meeting 2012

The Sydney Mechanics' School of Arts Annual General Meeting will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, 13th March 2012 in the Mitchell Theatre, level 1, 280 Pitt Street, Sydney NSW 2000.

Tom Keneally and Grahame Marks (SMSA Secretary) talk about the Tom Keneally Centre and how it aligns with the values and history of the Sydney Mechanics' School of Arts.

The Tom Keneally Centre is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30am to 2:30pm on Level 3 of the Sydney Mechanics' School of Arts building at 280 Pitt Street, Sydney.

Did you miss Tom Keneally's 2 August talk at Sydney Mechanics' School of Arts? You can now watch his popular talk on YouTube. 

Tom Keneally: A Writer's Library was held on 2 August 2011 at Sydney Mechanics' School of Arts as part of the celebrations for the opening of the Tom Keneally Centre.  Tom delved into the books and memorabilia he has gifted to the SMSA to form the Tom Keneally Centre, and revealed how his reading of fiction and non-fiction, for research and for pleasure, enriches his writing and helps him write his own books.

World-renowned author Tom Keneally has donated his collection of over 2500 books and memorabilia to the Sydney Mechanics' School of Arts, forming the Tom Keneally Centre, which was launched Her Excellency, Professor Marie Bashir, AC, CVO, Governor of New South Wales in August.

TOM KENEALLY CENTRE OPENING HOURS

From Tuesday 23 August, the Tom Keneally Centre will be open from 10:30am to 2:30pm, every Tuesday and Thursday.
